I spent just over 15 years at The Jersey Journal newspaper before it closed after 157 years as Hudson County, NJ's main news publication. While there, I rose up from production editor and graphic designer — designing covers and inside pages for news and sports as well as writing headlines — to assistant managing editor, where I took on more of a leadership role. During my time with the Journal, I won multiple state awards, including first-place or design and headline writing. Here is a selection of some of my best design pieces as well as headlines.
